Get to Know Mrs. Stines

I was born and raised in Geneva, Illinois which is 40 minutes west of sweet home Chicago.  I moved to Arizona 5 years ago to begin my teaching adventure and live with my wonderful grandmother in Tucson. I now live in Phoenix with my magnificent husband.

I have been teaching in Arizona since 2007. During the fall, I spend my time coaching Girls on the Run, a running team that inspires girls to be joyful, healthy and confident by teaching them life skills while preparing them to complete a 5K running event. This program is truly awesome, and I am so proud to be a coach for such an incredible group of girls every year.

When I am not at school or coaching Girls on the Run, I am running myself, usually preparing for half marathon races with my husband. I also enjoy hiking, watching my teams play (the Chicago Cubs or Notre Dame), bargin shopping and most of all READING. Teaching and learning are my true passions, and I am honored to have a career that I TRULY LOVE.
